Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled X-ray Technologist to join our team at Canada Mobile X-Ray Inc. as a Diagnostic Imaging Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for operating X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate X-ray Equipment: Safely and effectively operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients.
  • Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Perform diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials on biological specimens, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Record and Process Results: Record and process the results of procedures, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Apply Radiation Protection Measures: Apply radiation protection measures to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Explain Procedures: Explain procedures and side effects of radiation to patients, ensuring they are informed and comfortable throughout the examination.
  • Perform Quality Control Checks: Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record Patient Data: Record and process patient data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide Patient Care: Provide appropriate care and monitoring of patients during examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in radiologic technology/science - radiographer.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive tasks.
