Overview:
At Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan, we strive to provide exceptional service in the realm of personal lines insurance. As a Personal Lines Insurance Consultant, you will play a vital role in assisting our members with their home and auto insurance needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist members by delivering comprehensive product and service information.
  • Address and resolve member complaints effectively.
  • Evaluate risks associated with automobile and property insurance policies.
  • Respond to inquiries via telephone and written communication.
  • Process changes in our computer system while adhering to underwriting standards.
  • Document and maintain records of insurance transactions.
  • Update current rate manuals and communicate new coverage announcements.
  • Clarify and investigate member complaints, ensuring appropriate solutions are implemented.
  • Follow up on issues to guarantee resolution and provide recommendations to management as necessary.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a RIBO license or be willing to enroll in the RIBO training course, with the expectation of obtaining the license within the first three months of employment. Additionally, candidates should complete or commit to completing three insurance courses, including CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile. Experience in personal lines automobile and property insurance is advantageous.

Skills:
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications is required.
