Chef Job Description

Chez Mai II is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the culinary industry
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
Work Environment:

Chez Mai II is a fast-paced restaurant environment with a physically demanding work setting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to work in a team environment, and have excellent communication skills.
