Job Title: Executive Chef

Gestion Sarsfield Inc. is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for:

  • Leading the kitchen team and ensuring the highest quality of food is served
  • Developing and implementing menus that meet the needs of our guests
  • Managing kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff supervision
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to create new recipes and menus
Responsibilities:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for:

  • Estimating food costs and managing inventory
  • Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff
  • Supervising activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
  • Creating new recipes and menus
  • Instructing cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Preparing and cooking complete meals and specialty foods for events
  • Supervising cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies
  • Planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role
  • Cook Trade Certification
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
