Position Overview

We are looking for a Commercial Proposal Specialist to join our vibrant team. This position is essential in advancing our market growth strategy across Canada and the United States. The ideal candidate will have a solid commercial understanding and a meticulous attention to detail, focusing on developing persuasive bid proposals to secure business opportunities in the commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment of Commercial Bid Opportunities

  • Analyze commercial bid invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other solicitations to understand project requirements, objectives, and evaluation criteria.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities linked to each bid.
  • Prepare detailed bid-related documentation, including executive summaries, bid outlines, project plans, and supplementary materials.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and finance teams, to gather relevant information for bid evaluation.

Preparation of Commercial Bids

  • Assist in crafting a comprehensive bid response, including pricing models, technical solutions, and value propositions, to maximize the chances of securing commercial contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and inputs for bid preparation, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Review and interpret bid criteria to ensure compliance and tailor proposals to effectively meet client needs.
  • Oversee the bid response process, ensuring adherence to all pre-bid requirements, compilation of relevant content, and timely submission of deliverables.

Management and Coordination of Commercial Bids

  • Manage ongoing commercial bids, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines and timely submission of all necessary documents.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to enhance communication and information flow throughout the bid lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial bid analysis, preferably within the EV or clean energy sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a sharp attention to detail.
