About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Banff International Hostel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hostel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Coordinate Cleaning Schedules: Establish and manage cleaning schedules to ensure that all areas of the hostel are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of the hostel's facilities to identify any areas that require maintenance or repair.
  • Manage Supplies and Equipment: Order and manage cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure that the hostel is always well-stocked.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and housekeeping, to ensure that all areas of the hostel are running smoothly.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, reliability, and strong communication skills
