About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Banff International Hostel. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Bed Making and Linen Management: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock linen closets.
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Lost and Found Management: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Laundry and Housekeeping: Launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and clean changing rooms and showers.
Personal Suitability
  • Punctuality: Ensure timely arrival and adherence to schedules.
  • Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and respond to guests' needs.
  • Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a variable schedule of 30-40 hours per week. The work language is English.
