Position Overview
At Passion. Support Services INC, we are seeking a dedicated Team Lead to provide guidance and management to our residential support facilities.
The Team Lead will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with individuals receiving support, as well as with both internal and external networks.
This position involves ensuring that individual support is effective and aligns with our organizational values, objectives, and standards of service delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership Duties: Demonstrate the ability to effectively train and oversee staff. Cultivate employee development through performance management, continuous training, and strong interpersonal relationships.
- Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, including the Vulnerable Person's Act and Residential Care Licensing standards. Responsible for the implementation of effective programming and services, including assessments and personalized support plans.
- Administrative Functions: Maintain accurate records and documentation while ensuring confidentiality. Participate in budget management, meetings, and the development of policies and procedures.

You are a proactive leader who embraces challenges and is committed to empowering individuals of all abilities within our community.
Successful candidates will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Consistent employment history for at least one year or prior supervisory experience in a similar field.
- Valid certifications in First Aid and CPR.
- A clear criminal record check, along with relevant registry checks.
- A minimum of Grade 12 education, preferably with post-secondary qualifications in nursing, social work, human services, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of the disability sector, mental health, and child and family services.
- Knowledge of the Protection of Persons in Care Act.
- Training in crisis prevention techniques.
- A willingness to pursue ongoing training and education through organizational and regional workshops.
- A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
- Exceptional communication skills (written, oral, and verbal), strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team setting.
- Level 6 English proficiency (CLB).
- The ability to promote a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in training support workers, identifying their needs, and ensuring competency in learned skills.
Work Environment: This position requires in-person engagement.
