Position Overview:

WSP Canada is actively seeking a skilled Commissioning Authority/Agent to enhance our Commissioning Team. This role is ideal for individuals with a robust background of 5-10 years in building systems, encompassing construction, contract management, design, project oversight, and commissioning expertise. Candidates with hands-on commissioning experience and familiarity with industry benchmarks such as LEED, CSA, and ASHRAE will be prioritized. Additional qualifications in engineering, testing and balancing, building operations, controls, maintenance, or system installation will be beneficial.

What You Will Do:
  • Deliver commissioning and related services on diverse new building projects.
  • Manage the commissioning process across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and financial targets.
  • Engage effectively with multidisciplinary internal and external project teams.
  • Foster strong client relationships.
  • Meet project objectives outlined in Owner's Project Requirements and relevant building rating systems.
  • Produce clear, concise reports that communicate technical information.
  • Conduct and document commissioning tests and related activities.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting building systems during commissioning.
  • Identify design risks and propose solutions to enhance project outcomes.
  • Evaluate the performance of building systems for optimal efficiency.
  • Lead project commissioning meetings and offer guidance to the commissioning team.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of internal processes and documentation.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations to secure new projects.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Projects will primarily be in Southern Ontario, with occasional travel to other regions as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in building systems, particularly in commissioning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Willingness to travel within Southern Ontario.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
  • Preferred: Professional designation (e.g., E.I.T, P.Eng, AScT, CTech) and commissioning-related credentials (e.g., ACP, CCP, CxA, BCxP, LEED AP).
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
