Job Summary
We are seeking a Payroll and HR Coordinator to join our team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing hourly payroll, maintaining account balancing records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for all hourly paid employees
- Verify reports, transmit payroll to ADP, and produce payroll journal entry
- Process employee terminations, ensuring completion of final pay and vacation pay entitlements
- Issue Record of Employment (ROE) and terminate employee benefits as per company policy
- Prepare various monthly reports
- Maintain employee pension files and submit enrolment, change, and termination forms to the carrier
- Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts on a monthly basis
- Coordinate hourly employee recruitment and on-boarding
- Coordinate safety and other training
Requirements
- Post-secondary education preferred
- CPA member an asset
- 3+ years of related experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
