Position Overview: Medication Safety Professional Consultant

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Medication Safety Professional Consultant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of care across specialized health services. Reporting directly to the Professional Practice Director, this position focuses on the development, execution, and assessment of strategies aimed at improving medication safety within our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Leadership: Offer expert guidance and consultation across various programs and departments, fostering a culture of excellence in clinical practices. Promote Innovation: Facilitate the integration of advanced clinical information systems, ensuring our teams remain at the forefront of healthcare advancements. Collaborate Effectively: Partner with educators, operational leaders, and clinical experts to establish ambitious practice objectives and achieve remarkable outcomes. Manage Projects: Design, implement, and oversee strategic initiatives while leading a dedicated team of project professionals. Champion Change: Act as a systems leader, promoting positive transformations and fostering excellence across professional and academic domains. Influence Strategic Decisions: Engage with clinicians and stakeholders, representing our contributions in high-level decision-making environments.

Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in a Health Sciences Discipline or a related field, complemented by five years of relevant experience, including two years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in facilitating inter-professional collaborative practices and a thorough understanding of regulatory standards and the Health Professions Act. Strong project management skills and the ability to adapt to evolving situations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. A commitment to continuous learning and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
