Production Equipment Manager

Lantic Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Supervisor to join our team at our Montreal plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supervisory support for the maintenance of overall plant and support equipment, including offsite piling ground equipment.
- Support the implementation and optimization of maintenance best practices, inventory parts, standard inspection programs, and predictive maintenance programs.
- Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget and work with the supervisory team to improve plant operations, including safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and waste management.
- Reduce overall plant downtime using available resources and ensure Health & Safety and proper environmental practices are followed within the department.
- Supervise major equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding to ensure they are fully operational and safe to operate within scheduled requirements.
- Professional certification in mechanics, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in maintenance management/supervision in a production facility, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience with structured CMMS systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, motivational, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Maximo, Navision, SharePoint, and MS Office programs.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to act as a coach/mentor and take a hands-on approach to leading/motivating a team.
- Good management of stress and competing priorities.
