Field Sales Manager – Underground Solutions

Brandt is actively seeking a Field Sales Manager – Underground Solutions for our Construction & Forestry division. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling a range of underground and tree care machinery, including Ditch Witch trenchers, mini-skid steers, vac trailers, directional drills, Morbark brush chippers, and Rayco stump grinders within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market and sell both new and pre-owned underground and tree care machinery within the assigned Area Of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Conduct extensive travel throughout the AOR to effectively engage with current and prospective clients.
  • Actively participate in expanding our customer base by:
    • Increasing the share of wallet from existing customers
    • Acquiring new clientele
    • Identifying and nurturing Key Strategic Customers, both existing and new, and implementing a tailored growth strategy
    • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Stay informed about customers' business activities and requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive customer status reports, including:
    • Sales activity logs
    • Lists of current and prospective customers
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional initiatives for your AOR.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and industry trends.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all sales documentation.
  • Manage travel logistics and expenses efficiently.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth within a defined territory.
  • Familiarity with the trenching, plowing, drilling, and tree care sectors, with relevant experience in the field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned area of responsibility (AOR).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (recent driver's abstract required).
  • Valid passport and availability for international travel.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous.

Required Experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of the equipment and construction industry is beneficial.
  • Previous sales experience is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Recent driver's abstract will be required.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and results-oriented.
  • Proven capability to build and expand sales in a designated territory.
  • Familiarity with the trenching, plowing, drilling, and tree care sectors, with relevant experience in the field.
