C965 Tarkett Sports Canada Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our legal department.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various contractual aspects of our business relationships within the sports industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft, annotate, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including project agreements, procurement contracts, leases, customer service agreements, and bids, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to review, negotiate, and finalize project-related contracts, ensuring adherence to labor, insurance, and bonding regulations.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including legal, sales, operations, and finance teams, to facilitate contract approval processes and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, tracking key dates and milestones for efficient management.
  • Address contract-related inquiries and concerns from both internal and external parties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide legal support by assisting with project issues and contract dispute resolution as needed.
  • Update and manage the contract database, ensuring it accurately reflects active contracts and upcoming deadlines for proactive planning.
  • Perform other assigned tasks to contribute to the overall success of the legal department.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Possess a degree in paralegal studies or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department is essential.
  • Demonstrate 2 to 5 years of experience in a legal support role with contract management and negotiation expertise, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Possess strong written communication skills for clear and concise contract drafting and correspondence.
  • Be customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to new challenges and changing priorities within the legal landscape.
  • Demonstrate confidence in negotiating contracts with external parties independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF for efficient document management.
  • Bilingual with strong English written and oral communication skills to engage with American clients effectively.
