Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, from initial request through contract close out. This will involve maintaining positive relationships with our vendors and suppliers, negotiating and renewing contracts, and collaborating with various departments to understand their procurement needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Request Review

Review and analyze procurement requests from internal departments and stakeholders to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Vendor Relationship Management

Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including performance and delivery, to ensure that we receive the best possible value for our spend.

Contract Management

Manage vendor contracts by ensuring necessary paperwork and documentation are accurate and up to date, including on-time renewals.

Negotiation and Communication

Negotiate pricing and other terms with vendors to ensure that we receive the best possible value for our spend, and communicate any concerns with vendors to ensure contract disputes and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.

Vendor Performance Monitoring

Monitor vendor performance and report any issues to management to ensure that we are receiving the best possible service from our vendors.

Invoice Review and Payment

Review vendor invoices and ensure accurate and on-time payments to maintain positive relationships with our vendors and suppliers.

New Vendor Engagement

Lead the engagement of new vendors and coordinate internally with the Legal, GRC, and Security teams to ensure that all necessary procedures are followed.

Market Research

Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and evaluate vendor capabilities to ensure that we are receiving the best possible value for our spend.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.

Skills

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Contractual Knowledge

Knowledge of procurement and contract management principles and practices, as well as contractual legal requirements and general accounting processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform is a plus.
