Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwich & Salad. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of food service staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Operations Management: Establish methods to meet work schedules, requisition food and kitchen supplies, prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Human Resources: Hire food service staff, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer service and team leadership.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
