About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Pathway Coordinator at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Radiotherapy department, Oncology clinics, and wards within Women's Services.
  • Ensure efficient and effective communication between patients, nursing staff, clinicians, and other members of the administrative and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Collect and maintain accurate data to assist with audits of service provision.
  • Order stationery and supplies as needed, utilizing the PECOS system.
  • Support with restocking administrative stores and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
  • Ensure all patients and colleagues are treated with courtesy and respect, adhering to customer care standards and Trust values.
  • Participate in projects and service improvements as required, utilizing your skills and experience to contribute to the team's success.
  • Assist with induction programs for new staff within the department.
  • Contribute to the production and updating of patient information and other useful resources.
  • Complete outcomes on internal systems to record patient appointments and ensure trust income.
  • Present a professional image at all times, maintaining good communication and customer service with all patients and colleagues.
  • Provide a customer-focused service to patients, communicating effectively and appropriately with patients and all levels of staff.
  • Participate and be proactive within team/ward meetings, ensuring that all complaints or patient issues are escalated to the Team Leader in a timely fashion.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience.
  • GCSE or equivalent standard of education.
  • Accurate data entry, typing, and checking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to use own judgment to resolve problems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and accomplish a variety of concurrent assignments.
  • Closely attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Understanding of patient priorities and performance targets related to appointment and waiting times.
  • Knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience of using IT systems and patient data systems.
  • Experience of scheduling outpatient appointments.
  • Experience of working with patients and providing information regarding their appointments.
