Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met
  • Inventory and Record Keeping
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure that goals and objectives are met
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to stand for extended periods. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with staff and management.

Language and Support

The primary language of work is English. We are committed to supporting newcomers and refugees in their settlement and integration into our community. The successful candidate will be required to support newcomers and refugees with their immediate settlement needs and provide assistance with foreign credential recognition.
