Job Summary:

The Director of Sales and Business Development will be responsible for leading the sales team in achieving department sales goals. This includes developing sales strategies, managing sales processes, and cultivating relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in sales leadership and business development, with a strong understanding of the injection molding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales plans and targets with the sales team, including key accounts.
  • Manage and support the performance of the sales team, including scheduling and operational activities.
  • Track and report sales metrics, including annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenues.
  • Identify training and career development opportunities for individual sales team members.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews with the sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with decision-makers in key accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales processes and customer experiences.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of all sales and project management activities.
  • Develop and execute standard pricing strategies for all product lines.
  • Support estimating and contract negotiations with customers.
  • Authorize travel, vacation, and customer visit schedules for the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the injection molding industry, with a minimum of 7 years in sales leadership or business development roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP) designation or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineering License (P.Eng) or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel internationally, with no passport restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the injection molding industry and its applications.
  • Experience with sales strategy development and implementation.
  • Proven track record of sales leadership and business development success.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under complex and demanding circumstances.
