About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Mount Norquay. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to our guests, including preparing and serving meals, and responding to their needs and preferences.
  • Staff Development: Train and develop the skills of our kitchen staff to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
