Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Royal Canadian Lodge Banff (InnVest Hotels LP). As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.
  • Monitor food costs, inventory, and labor costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary program or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
