Role OverviewThis position entails providing legal guidance to the Solutions and Services Group regarding all legal obligations associated with DaaS, IaaS, Managed Services, and Industry Solutions in North America. The role will involve supporting Public Sector sales initiatives and developing the Public Sector strategy for the Solutions and Services Group.
Key Responsibilities:- Define legal requirements and establish governance frameworks for complex Public Sector agreements.
- Oversee legal assistance in Solutions and Services transactions, particularly in the Public Sector.
- Gain insight into existing contractual obligations for Solutions and Services Group clients.
- Collaborate with the Services Team and Public Sector North America Team to ensure adherence to Public Sector standards.
- Advise on a variety of regulatory and commercial legal matters.
- Provide legal support for teams developing new services, software, and solutions.
- Assist in creating new solutions and services tailored for the Public Sector to enhance sales efforts.
- Engage with internal and external legal experts to ensure a cohesive Public Sector strategy.
- Work alongside Lenovo's legal professionals and services teams across various regions.
- Collaborate with Sales and Contract Management Teams to negotiate and finalize complex service agreements.
- Coordinate with Global Contracts and other Contract Management Teams to ensure adequate training and resources for Managed Services.
- Identify and address legal issues, involving specialized legal experts as necessary.
- Utilize external resources efficiently to supplement internal legal capabilities.
- Draft standard templates for new service offerings.
- Develop a comprehensive template library for all services to facilitate easy access and maintenance.
- Establish a clear process for legal engagement with service development teams for Public Sector transactions.
- J.D. Degree with strong academic performance.
- Active bar membership in the United States.
- 12+ years of legal experience, with a preference for at least 5 years in a law firm setting.
- Experience with large, complex contracts for enterprise clients.
- Background in services and solutions organizations.
Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, with eligibility for bonuses and commissions. Additional benefits are available.
