Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Avleen08 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules
Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Requisition Food and Kitchen SuppliesProcure and manage food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in stock.
Supervise and Coordinate Activities of StaffOversee and coordinate the activities of food service staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety ProceduresDevelop and implement training programs to ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal PreparationConduct regular inventory checks to estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
Hire Food Service StaffRecruit and hire qualified food service staff, ensuring that all new hires meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
Ensure Quality Control StandardsMonitor and ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards.
Prepare Budget and Cost EstimatesDevelop and manage budgets and cost estimates for food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and managed effectively.
Address Customer Complaints or ConcernsRespond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and WastageMaintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management as needed.
Prepare and Submit ReportsPrepare and submit regular reports to management, providing updates on food service operations and any issues that may arise.
Prepare Food Order Summaries for ChefPrepare and submit food order summaries to the chef, ensuring that all necessary information is included and up-to-date.
Supervise and Check Assembly of TraysOversee and check the assembly of trays, ensuring that all food is presented in a clean and appealing manner.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion- Provides Awareness Training to Employees
Develop and implement awareness training programs to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and/or refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Applies Accessible and Inclusive Recruitment PoliciesImplement accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities, newcomers and/or refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Supports Newcomers and/or RefugeesRecruit and support newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their new role.
Offers Mentorship ProgramsDevelop and implement mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, providing them with guidance and support as needed.
Provides Diversity and Cross-Cultural TrainingDevelop and implement diversity and cross-cultural training programs to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
