Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Staff Management: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and supervise and check assembly of trays.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
- Accessible and Inclusive Recruitment: Apply accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, visible minorities, newcomers, and refugees.
- Support for Veterans: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans, and offer workshops, counseling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Support for Mature Workers: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, and provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service management.
- Language: English.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
