Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to patients, cafeteria patrons, and catering clients.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement processes to assess and improve food service quality.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food Service Supervisor to maintain a clean and safe food service environment.
  • Operate cash handling equipment and maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of therapeutic diets and patient nutritional needs.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Related experience in the food service industry.
  • Current Food Handling Certification.
  • Food Service Worker certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Prior experience with cash handling and knowledge of therapeutic diets is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Good attendance and availability required.
