Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in providing financial analysis and support to our operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports to provide insights into operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial operations and analysis.

Requirements

  • Completion of a diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Three years of directly related experience in financial operations or analysis.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, policies, and procedures.
