About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Sensible Insurance & Financial Services Ltd. as a Financial Record Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances, financial statements, and other reports as required.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
