Job Title: Hospitality Operations Manager at Cineplex

Job Overview:

The Hospitality Operations Manager (HOM) is responsible for ensuring that all policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to in all guest-facing and culinary areas. Key responsibilities include safeguarding company assets, enhancing sales and profitability through strategic planning and operational oversight, and maintaining outstanding guest service while managing financial performance. The HOM will be instrumental in upholding company initiatives, reducing employee turnover, achieving budgetary targets, and nurturing a culture of exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain exemplary guest service across all operational departments
  • Oversee seamless operations in areas including Entertainment, Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Retail
  • Ensure the venue meets cleanliness and safety standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and complete operational checklists
  • Effectively implement gaming initiatives
  • Manage Groups & Events, ensuring outstanding service delivery
  • Recruit, train, and mentor venue management staff
  • Collaborate with senior leadership for feedback and goal alignment
  • Facilitate employee training and professional development
  • Enhance departmental morale and reduce turnover
  • Drive sales and manage inventory effectively
  • Share best practices and oversee cash handling procedures
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in managing high-volume venues
  • Post-secondary education is preferred
  • Ability to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions
  • Experience in customer service and team management
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry
  • Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Flexible with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

Working Conditions:

  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Exposure to varying temperatures
  • Manual dexterity for computer use
  • Extended hours may be necessary
