Position Overview:

The Director of Warehousing will oversee comprehensive warehousing operations, inventory oversight, and the movement of materials between production facilities and external storage locations. This pivotal role entails establishing and fulfilling operational objectives, optimizing resource allocation, nurturing partnerships with external logistics providers, and spearheading initiatives for continuous enhancement. The ideal candidate will be an integral member of the Operational Leadership Team, contributing significantly to the overall performance across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategic objectives for warehousing aligned with manufacturing goals
  • Establish key performance metrics and track progress towards financial targets
  • Collaborate with internal departments and third-party logistics partners to meet operational benchmarks
  • Develop and oversee budgets for warehousing activities
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory standards
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of staff and contractors
  • Facilitate organizational and cultural advancements within warehousing
  • Implement initiatives for continuous improvement and the adoption of innovative technologies
  • Manage change processes, drive innovation, and ensure business continuity
  • Uphold safety protocols and promote a culture of quality

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Experience: At least 7 years in a relevant field
