Position Overview

As a Radiologic Technician, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years in radiologic technology or science.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment to conduct imaging procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic tests utilizing radioactive materials on biological samples.
  • Accurately record and process results from imaging procedures.
  • Implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Clearly explain procedures and potential side effects associated with radiation exposure to patients.
  • Conduct basic verification and quality control checks on imaging and film processing equipment.
  • Maintain and process patient data effectively.
  • Provide compassionate care and monitoring of patients throughout their examination.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Work Environment
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking, including bending and kneeling.
  • Perform repetitive tasks as required.
