About the Role

We are seeking a skilled X-ray Technologist to join our team at Canada Mobile X-Ray Inc. as a Diagnostic Imaging Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for operating X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Imaging Equipment: Safely and effectively operate X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Perform diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials on biological specimens, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Record and Process Results: Record and process the results of procedures, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Apply Radiation Protection Measures: Apply radiation protection measures to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Explain Procedures: Explain procedures and side effects of radiation to patients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable throughout the examination.
  • Perform Quality Control Checks: Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record Patient Data: Record and process patient data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide Patient Care: Provide appropriate care and monitoring of patients during examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will also be required to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
