Your Opportunity:
The Medical Radiation Technologist I position at Alberta Health Services operates in the specialized, highly technical environment of X-Ray. As a key member of our team, you will assess patients, analyze and interpret diagnostic data, and provide information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis.
- Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.
- Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a demanding, dynamic environment and as a team member in a multidisciplinary setting.
