Position Summary: The Aircraft Ground Services Specialist (AGSS) plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient handling of general aviation aircraft, their crews, and passengers. This position involves operating ground support equipment and applying knowledge of company policies to provide outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver safe and efficient aircraft services while fostering a welcoming environment for clients and guests.
  • Engage with coworkers, customers, vendors, and flight crews to meet service needs, ensuring effective communication for operational tasks.
  • Perform aircraft servicing as directed, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory services, ground power, and towing.
  • Operate ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing units, and tugs.
  • Promote and deliver general aviation services to clients and guests.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure ramp and operational area.
  • Transport passengers and cargo using shuttle vehicles.
  • Handle luggage and cargo efficiently, ensuring proper loading and unloading.
  • Manage fuel quality control, documentation, and inventory.
  • Exhibit professional and friendly customer service, maintaining a positive demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to all operational, safety, and customer service protocols.
  • Comply with security protocols as mandated by the company and airport regulations.
  • Document time worked and services performed accurately.
  • Follow emergency response procedures during critical events.
  • Suggest improvements to operational standards and practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct flight line operations safely and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts.
  • Engage in physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment.
  • Demonstrate excellent vision and coordination for aircraft movement and fuel inspection.
  • Communicate effectively in English with colleagues and clients.
  • Operate vehicles and ground support equipment safely.
  • Perform tasks from elevated heights when necessary.
  • Understand and follow company policies and safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
  • Proactively prepare for aircraft arrivals and departures, addressing safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Valid state driver's license; commercial driver's license may be required in certain locations.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Successful completion of training programs.
  • Ability to pass a color vision test for fuel inspection.
  • Proficient in computer use and email communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Preferred: 3-6 months of experience in aviation or customer service.
