About the Role
Spectrum Health Care is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Toronto. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in achieving their goals and maximizing their independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to address barriers to functional performance.
- Provide guidance and training on adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and environmental modifications to enhance patient independence and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working in a community setting is an asset.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Knowledge and experience working with a diverse patient population, including frail seniors and patients with multiple comorbidities.
