Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at West Park Healthcare Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and recovery of patients with stroke-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat patients with stroke-related conditions, utilizing your expertise in occupational therapy.
  • Provide education, training, and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Complete thorough clinical documentation and workload management.
  • Supervise rehabilitation assistants in the delivery of occupational therapy services.
  • Provide occupational therapy coverage throughout the Centre as needed.
  • Pursue continuous professional development, including participation in relevant in-service educational programs.
Requirements:
  • MSc (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy and/or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists preferred.
  • Assistive Devices Program Authorizer status for Wheelchairs & Mobility Devices preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Outpatient Geriatric Rehabilitation or related service an asset.
