Position Overview

As a key member of the culinary team at ZB Hospitality Group Inc., the Sous-Chef plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This position involves overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of food quality, and managing food costs effectively.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other relevant data to improve efficiency.
  • Demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and equipment usage to kitchen staff.
  • Supervise the activities of chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
  • Develop and create new recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Instruct kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty dishes as required.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities across multiple dining establishments.
  • Design menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Recruit, hire, and train kitchen staff to ensure a skilled workforce.
  • Manage overall kitchen operations to maintain a productive environment.
