About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our team at Plains Midstream Canada ULC. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our compensation and benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and administration of our compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to HR and other stakeholders on compensation and benefits-related matters.
  • Lead and participate in the design and implementation of key compensation, retirement savings, and benefit projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform compensation and benefits decisions.
  • Prepare complex reports and presentations to communicate compensation and benefits information to stakeholders.
  • Manage the administration of our closed DB and DC pension plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote and educate employees on compensation and benefits programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in a similar industry.
  • CCP designation or in the process of completion is an asset.
  • Familiarity with a variety of compensation processes and programs.
  • Experience with benefit, retirement savings, and pension program design and administration.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • HRIS experience, with Workday experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
