We are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are aware of potential hazards and how to mitigate them.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate with employees, management, and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping
    • Prepare and submit reports on health and safety incidents and near-misses.
    • Maintain accurate records of health and safety training and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a health and safety role.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
