POSITION SUMMARY
Petrela, Winter & Associates ("PWA"), a Navacord Broker Partner, is seeking a Surety Account Manager to deliver exceptional customer service to a portfolio of construction surety accounts within a collaborative and team-oriented environment. This role involves managing and servicing the surety needs of assigned clients while fostering strong market relationships.
PWA is a boutique specialty commercial brokerage recognized as a leader in the construction sector, combining specialized expertise with a culture of teamwork, high-value service, and continuous learning to provide a unique career experience for its staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional customer service to an assigned portfolio of accounts
- Conduct financial analysis and pre-underwriting administration of the surety portfolio
- Prepare underwriting market submissions in line with company standards
- Offer innovative solutions to meet customer needs
- Proactively manage the surety facility requirements of the assigned portfolio
- Collaborate with team members across both surety and insurance departments in a professional and solution-focused manner
- Represent the company at industry events, associations, and with surety partners
- Engage with clients in underwriting and prospecting meetings as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Surety underwriting or brokerage
- Preference for candidates with ACSB designation and a background in finance/accounting
- RIBO license is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical abilities, particularly in financial analysis
- Ability to influence others in a cooperative manner
- Effective in both team settings and independent work
- Solid understanding of financial statements
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with keen attention to detail
