Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team at Multirim Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for creating precision tools and dies for various applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces
  • Inspect final products for quality and accuracy
  • Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Test prototypes and production tools to ensure they meet specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to ensure accurate mixing
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in tool and die making or a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads and manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination are essential
  • Standing for extended periods is required
  • Steel-toed safety boots are a must
