Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team at Sherwood Electromotion Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies for our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tool and Die Fabrication: Design, build, and test precision tools and dies using various materials and techniques.
  • Machining and Inspection: Operate computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-precision parts and inspect final products to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Setup and Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce parts and tools.
  • Quality Control: Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in tool and die making, machining, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of precision machining, tool and die design, and manufacturing processes. Proficient in operating computer-controlled machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
