Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies, ensuring high-quality production and efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces
  • Inspect final products for quality and accuracy
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Test prototypes and production tools to ensure functionality and quality
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand production requirements
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to ensure accurate mixing
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads and manual dexterity
  • Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in tool and die fabrication, jigs, and fixtures
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
