About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Markets Director to join our team at RBC. As a key member of our Commercial Financial Services (CFS) team, you will be responsible for leading our Senior Commercial Markets client segment, working closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our Senior Commercial Markets clients, understanding their business goals and objectives, and providing expert advice and guidance to help them achieve success.
  2. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire and grow our Senior Commercial Markets client relationships, working closely with our client relationship team and leveraging the full breadth of RBC's capabilities.
  3. Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of large commercial clients, taking responsibility for the overall relationship strategy within the client's RBC relationship team, and working closely with our CFS Finance team to manage and support complex client credit needs.
  4. Strategic Partnerships: Foster internal and external strategic partnerships and centres of influence (COIs) to meet the business' strategic goals, while focusing on target market clients and ensuring they are enabled to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business.
Requirements
  1. Education: University degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, with strong financial analysis skills.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' commercial banking experience, with a proven track record in business development and exceptional client relationship management skills.
  3. Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with deep knowledge of banking products and services, including industry specialized knowledge, as applicable.
  4. Technology: Experience and comfort with emerging technology, such as video conferencing, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications.
