About the Role

RSM US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Tax group, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns, including PFICs, 8865s, 8858s, 1042s, 1099s, 5471s, and 5472s.
    • Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
  • People and Talent Management
    • Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor, or coach to one or more employees, providing honest and timely performance feedback.
  • Client Service and Business Development
    • Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activities.
    • Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards.
    • Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
    • Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
  • Education and Experience
    • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or a related field of study.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Public Accounting.
    • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
    • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
    • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus.
    • Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740.
    • Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus.
