Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our infrastructure development projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on capital projects and infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project teams to deliver infrastructure development projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement project management plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on capital projects and infrastructure development.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of project management best practices, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Knowledge of modern project management best practices.
- Knowledge of Canadian or Nunavut laws, codes, building guides, and public sector project management and contracting policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of construction, economic, political, social, and cross-cultural conditions and practices.
- Knowledge of construction procurement strategies and practices, including in the public sector.
- Strong understanding of design and construction issues and legal concepts.
- Knowledge and understanding of the effect of public policy on the private sector and other affected parties in relation to capital projects.
- Theories, principles, practices of human resources and financial administration.
- Strategic management and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead a team of professionals.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills to identify and initiate corrective action to problems encountered managing capital projects.
