We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Indigenous Client Services team at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our clients to provide tax planning and advisory services, leveraging your expertise in tax law and regulations to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax planning and advisory services to Indigenous clients, including tax compliance, planning, and consulting.
- Work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored tax solutions.
- Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality tax services, including tax returns, audits, and reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to our clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their business goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, mentoring and developing their skills and expertise.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, or CMA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax consulting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including the Indian Act and Section 149 tax exemptions.
- Experience working with Indigenous clients and communities, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
