About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Indigenous Client Services team at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our clients to provide tax planning and compliance services, leveraging your expertise in tax law and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tax planning and compliance services to Indigenous clients, including tax returns, audits, and due diligence
  • Work closely with our clients to understand their unique tax and compliance needs, and develop tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality tax services, including research and analysis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous clients, stakeholders, and community leaders
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax law and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to our clients
Requirements
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax consulting, preferably in a public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of tax law and regulations, including the Indian Act and Section 149 tax exemptions
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities, governments, and associations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
