Job Title: Dozer Operator

We are seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our team at Leading Edge Earthworks. As a Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including dozers, graders, and excavators, to perform various tasks such as excavation, grading, and backfilling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, graders, and excavators, to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and backfilling.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight.
  • Operate computer-controlled equipment.
  • Understand the purpose, proper usage, and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS).
  • Complete onboard and other logs.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
  • Prepare accident reports.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment.
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment.
  • Operate hydraulic pumping systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physically demanding work conditions.
  • Own transportation.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
