This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to shipping, receiving, inspection, and inventory management. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Logistics and Inventory Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, overseeing customer shipments, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping Operations: Calculate freight costs, package products, and coordinate logistics efficiently.
  • Receiving Duties: Unload shipments, verify the accuracy of received goods, and organize items in designated locations.
  • Quality Inspections: Assess the quality of incoming materials, conduct thorough inspections, and address any discrepancies.
  • Schedule and conduct inventory counts, maintain an orderly warehouse environment, and serve as a key user of SAP.
  • Oversee equipment certification and ensure compliance with safety inspections.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of college or university education.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Certification as a forklift operator.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with inventory control methodologies.
  • APICS certification is advantageous.

Work Environment:

  • This position is categorized as safety-sensitive.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
