We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a critical role in empowering our customers and creating innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze technical information to provide effective solutions to our customers' sealing needs, making recommendations for seal types, materials, and sealing systems.
  • Assist in the field with seal installation, removal, and troubleshooting of seals and systems, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate failed seals as needed, providing detailed failure analysis and application recommendations in a Seal Failure Report, including root cause analyses and technical recommendations.
  • Lead Latent/Root Cause Analysis on warranty incidents, driving warranty response efforts and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist in promoting, selling, and servicing our products in the Canada territory, aligning with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Prepare technical proposals, review purchase orders, and collaborate with planning/customer service and design staff to execute quotations and orders efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain sales tools, including surveys, reference lists, status updates, presentations, standard proposals, and technical guidelines.
  • Represent the planning department in external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Support annual inventory processes and contribute to the Quality Management System, auditing other departments to ensure excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar or related position involving seals or rotating equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong organizational abilities.
  • Preferred:
  • Advanced education or training in mechanical seal technology.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical sealing technologies and associated equipment.
  • Ability to judge the form, fit, and function of applicable products for any application.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills to be an effective team member.
